Spring Cleaning Time!

This post brought to you by Insurance Hunter. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m surprised when I open the curtain this morning; our backyard is filled with snow again. Suppose to be it spring time already. Well, they said it’s normal.  I wonder if there is still snow in Rabbit Hill so that we can ski again. It is the highlight of our winter activities. I will just make a separate post about it.

For spring time I guess our first activity is to do spring cleaning. Albeit we’ve been cleaning the house everyday, but there are parts that was not done especially the outdoor. So this would be a lot of works to do. Without a guide we could miss cleaning some part. Thus we need to itemize and organize the spring cleaning activity.

I found a helpful article about Tips for getting your spring cleaning chores organized from Insurance Hunter, an insurance brokerage that helps you find auto insurance quotes. Here are some:

  1.  List all the chores that need to be completed.
  2. Categorize whether it’s indoor or outdoor. And organize according to priority.
  3. Make a time table; indicate the duration of each chore. Then mark the chore that has been done. Also it’s important to involve family members in this activity. Give them assignment according to their ability.
  4. Then reward everbody for their efforts.

In addition, make sure you have the cleaning tools and cleaning solutions before you start. Personally I opt for homemade cleaners than those chemicals we buy in the supermarket. Actually you can find DIY cleaning solutions in the internet. It’s cheaper, environment friendly and safer.

Hope this will help you.

My Shooting Experience

Okay, not the “camera action!” kind of shooting but shooting with a gun. Yup firing!

I never imagined myself holding a gun, because I am paranoid that I will hurt somebody. But last March 26 we decided to try it. At first I backed-out since I was so ill (I just went with the group because it’s BIL’s birthday) and it’s expensive like around $85 CAD for 45 bullets so did my sister and our friend. But then we decided to try it anyway since we are already in the shooting site and for the sake of experience.

I was telling my BIL that I will only try one shot then he’ll do the rest. At first it was scary like my palms are sweating. As soon as I used to the loud bang of it and holding the gun I just enjoyed it and the sickness I felt that moment was released. After I pulled the 45th bullet only did I realize my agreement with my BIL. LOL

My sissy all smile, but she’s honestly scared like me

Everybody had so much fun and pride as we bring our target – a piece of paper. My sister had the consistent shot but missed a lot of bullet. Mine is quiet scattered but I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss any bullets.

How to Deal Negative People or Situation (My Way)

I tried to live a positive a life following advices from the books I read. I know it is difficult especially if you are surrounded with people who bring negative vibes. Just like at work the moment I came in all I can hear are sighs and negative comments from colleagues, it is so draining honestly.

But I found my own ways in getting rid of it...

  1.  I go in an area where I can be alone. This helps me revives my energy.
  2. Applying CEEport. I learned it from the book “Zero Limit” by Joe Vital. CEEport means Clean, erase, erase while returning to zero. Cleaning my thoughts and erasing all bad memories. I do this by keep on repeating the four phrases: “I love you”, “I’m sorry”, “Thank you”, and “Please forgive me”. I still need to learn this method.
  3. And I think one of this best method and effective is, IGNORE or act like I`m listening to their complaints but honestly my thoughts are wandering for other more creative and helpful thoughts. Hahaha... trying to be deaf.

How about you, how do you deal negative people?

A Gift from a DA

One of the advantages of having [paid] blogs is getting freebies from advertisers. Although I prefer money in exchange for paid post or text link but freebies is also great.

Blue and white Porcelain pen and bookmark

Last December I got this set of blue and white porcelain pen and bookmark from an advertiser in exchange for text link in the side bar. I check the price and its value is around $27.00. Actually they offer me 4 different freebies to choose but I love the pen and bookmark set the most... just like love at first site! I love it the fact that I love to read and usually write down phrases from books that I read.

The Alexa ranks of my blogs are improving since I joined the Alexa hop from groups of bloggers. And advertisers are now starting to contact me. I hope more opps for this year. I need the moolah badly but freebies are okay as well.

FB Account is Temporarily Locked

My Facebook account is always open in my phone. Surprisingly, on the morning of December 28 I can no longer access my account in my phone, as well as in other phone or computer. It says that my computer may be infected with a virus which I doubt if it’s true since I can access a different account on the same computer or phone.

I tried to follow the instructions in the prompt box by clicking continue. But I’m suspicious with the instructions because it prompted me to install a scanner which I believe it is a malware so I didn’t do anything. Instead I try to look for forums related to it unfortunately I can’t find the solution. The problem with FB is that there is no “Contact Us” button and I can’t also find the answer in the FB forum or FAQ site about the problem I encountered.

Although I’m not an FB addict, it still bothers me not accessing the account. I suspect somebody reported me as abuse or blocked, BUT I don’t really know the real reason why I can’t access my account. Thus I gave up.

I was able to access my account again on the third day. I didn’t do anything... So when you experience same thing in your FB account I suggest don’t install anything as what you have been told on the prompt box. Just wait and ...have a break on accessing your account.  After all life continues without FB.

Cheers to a Great Father!

January 1 is not just an ordinary 1st day of the year but it is my father’s day too. It’s been two years since he celebrated his birthday without me and my sister I know he misses us as much as we miss him.

When I asked on the New Year’s eve about his plans on his birthday, his reply seems so lonely (I know there is no emotion in text messaging apparently he’s not using emoticon as well J) but I can feel it. Little did he know that my other siblings and their families were already in my brother’s place 1 kilometer away from my parents’ house preparing for a surprise birthday party for him.

He was surprised when they came home serenading him. They also prepare speeches which make the family emotional according to my mother. Although not complete as he wishes but they surely made his special day a memorable one. Hopefully, next year I’ll be home for his birthday.

Cheers to a Great Father!

To our role model,
who never failed to give us teachings in life.

To our great provider,
besides hardship in life you were able to
find ways to give us what we need.

To our loving and caring father,
you might not be showy to your feelings
but don’t worry we know you love us.

To our great father....
my gratitude for everything.
Happy birthday and I love you!
... cheers to you!!!

Priorities to Master

I just withdrew $100.00 from Social Spark and bought some polymer clays out from it. I still have balance of more than a $100.00 and I’m thinking of buying some theme for my blogs. But looking at the theme made me think that what If I’ll purchase a Genesis framework and I’ll do the designing instead. I know I can do it though I don’t have the knowledge in coding. I just want to learn how to do web designing specializing in designing blogs.

However this made me realize that there are so many things in my mind that I want to accomplish but none of these are being implemented. I should act before I realize that I wasted so much time thinking what to accomplish in life.

Here are some top priorities in my mind that I want to master:

  1. 1.       Polymer clay arts – many suggested that I should go in to business after they saw my creations. Hmmmm... poly clays are now on its way actually. Can’t wait!
  2. 2,       Blog design – need to purchase framework, need to learn coding, and need to practice Photoshop.
  3. 3.     Autocad – I know I need this skill in the future if I’ll apply a new job here in Ca.
  4. 4.      Electronics Circuits – yup! It’s been long forgotten but I miss it. I really want to practice my degree.
  5. 5.    Business/earn more money – Never been satisfied with my earning. I know money is not what makes life complete but admit it or not it’s a big contributory factor that makes life easy. I blog to earn more, I want to do poly clay and web designing business because I want to earn more plus it’s my passion, and I want to learn engineering skills because I want to have big salary.

.... and so on. This is a very long list actually but I opt to write the top 5 only.

I think if I can’t do multitasking, considering that I am a full time worker too, then I should pick what’s close to my heart; or discipline myself in doing those in the list one at a time by making schedule. For now I’ll focus myself in number 1 since it’s the closest to my heart.
