Week 9: Go with the Flow

I was emotional last night. It could be the hormone... you know PMSing. But this is what goes in my mind: I asked god why fate seems betraying me. It is all against to what I have planned for. It feels like God neglected me and not hearing what I want in my life.

Right away He answered me through the video from ANC.yahoo.com, "5 Steps to Start Your Career". Since my mind and heart are clouded with negativity, it causes me not to attract the positive vibrations (forget about the Law of Attraction). So while waiting for my Aha! moment, I will go with the flow BUT I will form a different habit. To do this, I will recharge myself and get rid of the negativity with this activity for 21 days:

  1. Every morning write down 3 things that make you grateful. This teaches your brain the habit of positive scanning.
  2. Write in your journal a  positive experience in the last 24 hours. This way you relive it.
  3. Exercise: It teaches your brain that behavior matters.
  4. Meditate. You learn to focus on a single task at hand despite the distraction.
  5. Do random act of kindness.
As it says from the video creating this habit "Attracts positivity. It unlocks your potential".

Two Things To Look For In An Online News Company

These days, more and more people are going online to get their news. If you're in search of high quality news you can trust to be accurate and interesting, there are several things you should be looking for in the online news company. Here are two:

1. An Established Brand.

If you're serious about getting high quality online news, be sure that you're going to a source that has an established brand. This means that the company should have been around for a while and, over the course of those years, should have developed a strong reputation as a good news source with a positive public image. If you're into the world of urban entertainment and politics, consider a company like the EUR/Electronic Urban Report. This company launched in 1997 and has been offering excellent coverage of the aforementioned topic areas ever since. Click here (www.eurweb.com) to learn more about this dynamic company.

2. Accuracy In Reporting.

When it comes to getting the news, it's important that you be able to trust the source to offer you accurate, true information. For this reason, you should steer clear of any online news sources that have been caught fabricating information. Stick to online news sources that have maintained a reputation for offering true, verifiable information in a very factual format.

Conclusion

If you're into getting your news online, make the most of this preference by finding the most ideal sources from which to obtain the latest updates. By looking for the aforementioned characteristics in an online news source, you'll be sure to attain the high quality coverage you want.

Week 8: Be Flexible

In Instagram alone, you can view thousands of great pictures of arts from different artists across the globe. Sometimes it's overwhelming but you can also get inspiration from other artists. Other than that, Instagram and sites alike are great sources to update your style and go with the trend. thus, the importance of flexibility.

Recently, I'm going gaga over modern calligraphy. The art of writing with the flourishes dances around the words makes the word fascinating. And it will even look more magical with the splashes of colors.

Thus, for this month of March, I will start practicing modern calligraphy and incorporate it with watercolors.

Week 7: Play... Create... Explore

Almost all creativity involves purposeful play
~Abraham Maslow~

When I create with polymer clay, I usually call it playing with clay. For me it brings back my childhood days with playing dough. Same with painting, playing with brushes gives much fun to me. And as I explore with these mediums, discovering something new is like an "aha!" moment... a reward and like a lifetime achievement.

And I think I have  to level up! I want to venture in freelancing to use  the creative juices that is overflowing in me. I think it's time for me tell the world that I have the skills, the talents... enough for hibernating... enough for my timidity.

That's why I bought the "Creative, Inc.: The Ultimate Guide to Running a Successful Freelance Business" by Meg Mateo Ilasco and Joy Deangdeelert Cho. The success stories of freelancers featured in this book are really inspiring. It is really great to do the things that you love because it is more about playing than working and gives you a satisfaction which I believe is a key to happiness.

Week 6: Get Nurtured with Nature

It's been a while since the last time I walked home. January and February are always the worst time for winter. But today, I am taking advantage of the good weather. I walked instead of calling somebody for a ride.

The not so cold breeze of the air is so refreshing, as if it cleanses my lungs which was deprived from the fresh air since winter started. And finally my skin is showered by the sun rays.

I can't wait for summer where I can spend more time outside.

Week 5: Let You Heart Lead You

The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart. ~Helen Keller

I kept on planning but I ended up frustrated, because usually things ended up not the way I want it to be. I came to the point where I just say whatever.....quesera, sera.. whatever willl be, will be. The future 's not ours to see.

Or surrender everything to God for He knows what is best for me. But for those times that I cannot find God's answer to my questions I just listen to my heart, although usually it debates with my mind, but my heart usually prevails because it is with the feeling that tells you what's the best for you.

Week 4: Meditate

Back in high school we only made fun with our teacher who taught us meditation. I didn't know that I would need and would actually practice it.

Deep breathing is a common way of meditation.  But one meditation that is easier for me to practice is through painting. It feels like I am in lost  of connection with my surrounding as I play the brushes on the paper and strokes the color on it. And it is best if there is a background music to listen.

Painting soothes and calms me. And the best thing is that at the end of the meditation I was able to create a beautiful piece that helps boost my happiness.
