Okay I admit I do not know the name of this flower. But please allow me to call it “Porcupine Flower”, because of the thorny look of its petals. But unlike porcupine, it doesn’t sting when you touch it; it’s actually delicate and soft to touch. When it withers, the individual or group of petals forms like a rose, it turned like tiny bouquet of roses. Too bad I forgot to take a photo of a withered “Porcupine Flower”.

Sony Bravia LCD from Sister Jeia
My sister, Jeia, surprised my parents with 40” Sony Bravia LCD with the home theatre package. Both my parents can’t sleep on the day they received the gift: my frugal mom was shocked with the price (LOL) and my father on the other was super duper excited.
My techy brother installing the LCD TV
Everybody is super excited… especially my father in yellow polo shirt
Mama just arrived from their reunion and was surprised when she saw the TV
Actually, it’s my sister’s gift for them on Mother’s day, Father’s day and their Wedding Anniversary on 17th day of June.
My generous sister actually saved money for this, especially when she learned that our old Heier TV shows only half of the screen. We are so grateful with her; living with my parent’s means I can also enjoy the TV. (*wink*) …
Thanks JEIA... xoxoxo

Corn
This is one of my mom’s favorite foods. Every time I see vendors selling corn I will always buy for her. This food brings out the child in her (LOL)
Just a little fact:
Corn fiber is also good for reducing LDL (low density lipoproteins) or commonly known as “bad cholesterol”. My colleagues, especially those who have high bad cholesterol, eat corn as substitute to rice. Our canteen, before the management changed, served corn for lunch, but I haven’t tried it (*_*).
Corn is also good for diabetics according to the Department of Science and Technology- Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DoST-FNRI).
White corn contains low glycemic index (GI), which is the rank of food based on blood glucose response. Food that can easily be digested and could rapidly increase glucose in the blood are ranked 55 and up in terms of GI.
Food that is lower than 55 in GI cannot be digested easily. Therefore, the increase of glucose level in blood is slow and minimal. (Mitch Arceo) (Source)

My Niece Licking the Poop?
Last night a bat came in to our house freely flying. Too bad my cam was battery empty. This reminds me of the birds that are so at home that if windows are left open they’ll go inside and…. leave dirt, I mean their poop. Actually I blogged about this. I just forgot to post this pic of my niece who acted as if she’s licking the poop…. eewww!

Hey-ya! I miss this blog. I’ve been busy inviting readers to my newly migrated blog. Life Ascending is now a self-hosted blog! I’m still adjusting to the Wordpress platform though but I’m starting loving it. When I came back here I thought I need some revamp and found a free template that I sooooo LOVE…. I love the new look of this blog and the Ey to Zee Craft Blog. The problem is I forgot to copy the links of my blog friends. Sorry… Please let me know…. So I can add your link…
I wish I could also change the looks of my new blog. Hope I learn graphic design and web designing so that I can do it by myself..
