{Review} Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara

So it's been a month since I used the Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara. I've been talking about how great the product is through my social media accounts and my other blog. But I can't help myself write about it again here in Spices of My life.

Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara has been my favorite among other mascaras I used. In fact it's the only mascara I used for the longest time. Why?

  • It enhances the look of my eyelashes.
  • It lengthens and volumizes my lashes which makes my tired-looking eyes livelier.
  • It doesn't smudge when I rub my lashes. Unless of course if my fingers are wet.
  • No clumps.

Look how it enhances the look of my eyes

The only cons I noticed with this mascara are as follows:
  • It doesn't hold curls. Or probably it's just my stubborn lashes.
  • The handle is quiet big. I have this awkward feeling when applying the mascara.
  • Brushes on the tip part are way too short, widely apart and the core circumference is quiet big which makes applying mascara to the lashes of the corner of my eyes harder.

It might not be the perfect mascara for me, but definitely I will consider buying it or will try other Covergirl Lashblast Mascara in the future.

Disclosure: I got Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Macara and discount coupons for free thru BzzAgent in exchange of my honest opinion.

Garnier BB Cream

(This is not a review)

I learned about BB cream last year from beauty section of “The Philippine Star”. The featured brand was Etude. It has positive reviews that I myself want to try it. But at that time it is not available in Davao. There are BB cream for sale online but it’s quiet expensive plus I have to pay for the shipment fee.

BB cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. From what I have read in the newspaper it hides blemishes and will even the skin tone as you continually use it.

It is famous in Korea. And as we can observe Korean is invading the trend in our country; drama, fashion, accessories, songs, beauty products, to name a few.

I’m a fan of Korean fashion and admire there porcelain skin. Hoping to achieve a skin tone like them, I thought BB cream is an answer.

I’ve been talking to my sister about this. She contacted her friend who is currently enrolled for PhD degree at Korea to buy BB cream since at that time it was not available in Canada.

Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector

Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector

A couple days ago, while watching TV, Garnier BB Cream was introduced through an advertisement. It’s the first BB Cream here in Canada. When I saw the product at Walmart I grabbed one for me and my sister to try.

The Garnier BB Cream has two tones to choose: the light/medium and medium/dark. It’s about $16.

Today is my first time to use it, so I can’t give my review of the product. Perhaps after several days.

I’m thinking of creating a blog specifically for product reviews. So probably I’ll post my review there.

L'Oreal for My Dry Wavy hair

Dry hair Bad hair day as usual… (sigh). I cannot understand my hair. I already take a super extra care of it: hot oil every weekend and intense conditioning every day. But it’s still unmanageable no matter how I comb it. Even hair cuticle coat won’t work.

Straightening it is one of the solutions. My sister prohibited me from doing so because it may damage my hair. But I know with hair experts my hair would be taken care and will look healthier.

I don’t loathe my wavy hair. I love it! It’s just that sometimes I look like I didn’t comb my hair at all; dry and unmanageable! I think I need to apply hair cream to make it look healthier. Loreal professional have many hair products that I wanted to try. I’ve seen Anne Curtis promotion of L'Oreal shampoo and I simply adore her rich and healthy wavy hair.

My Epilin Experience

I have scary hairy legs. LOL… I hate the thick curly bush of hair growing in lower portion of my legs. It’s the reason why I don’t wear shorts. My boyfriend even teased me that my legs are manlier than him.

I tried different cream hair remover but it doesn’t really work to me after a week it will only grow back. Shave is also the same. Worst is when it grows back it’s really itchy leaving marks of scratch in my legs. I also tried pulling it individually. The tingly pain is bearable yet it took me longer to pull the “weeds” in my legs. LOL…. Of all the three, cream remover is the easiest and best temporary solution.

Often I would think of have it permanently removing it through laser. But I know it’s super expensive. Besides I’ve seen in TV the result of failed treatment making the legs of the victim scarier than having a hairy leg. It was permanently damage.

I read from an article in the Star newspaper about Epilin as an effective remover of hair. It will weaken the root and eventually prevent hair from growing…. So I try! But never succeeded to my mission…

Heating the Epilin. I thought it’s like a wax, but it’s actually hard..

Yummy honey!? No.. it’s the Epilin cooling it to a bearable temperature.

Spreading it unto my legs. About 1" x 3". Waiting for 10 minutes or until the Epilin dries.

My hair was already trimmed to easily pull the hair.

Ready for stripping!!!! Ouch!!! (I have no picture of it.) I was screaming and screaming while pulling the hardened Epilin. And my niece was curious and tried to pull it without noticing her. And I screamed at the top of my lungs… Ooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccchhhh!

I can’t bear the pain anymore so I stopped. Maybe I’ll continue doing it. When I’m alone.

See the hair? No not the hair on my skin. But the hair stuck on the hardened Epilin.

I Am Beautiful

Okay… Okay! I’m beautiful. LOL… No matter what they say!!! LOL

I may not have the perfect face, the model-looks, and coca-cola body but I still feel beautiful and sexy. As they say we can always feel beautiful in different ways. However no matter how I told myself I’m beautiful I would still want to improve the way I look. I may sound hypocrite if I say I am contented with my looks and physique. Who doesn’t want to look beautiful anyway?

When you have good looks and in good shape, more likely you are confident. That’s why Cosmetic Surgery is born. Cosmetic surgeons are goddess to those who are less blessed with looks. They are the booster of self confidence and self-esteem. They are like fairy that will expunge the sagging skins and wrinkles in a few weeks making you look younger half of your age.

If you observed, cosmetic surgery mushroomed anywhere. More and more people, especially woman, went to cosmetic surgery; spending a lot of money just to look beautiful, sexier and younger. To some it’s lavishness to others it’s essential - looking good, feeling good!

By the way, if I have a chance to remodel any part of my face, it would be my puffing eye bags, my nose, my crooked teeth, my skin, my chubby face….. Oohhh!!! It’s almost all part of my face and body. LOL…. But hey I truly love the way I look. I am Beautiful!!!!
