Beating the Deadline

I was so busy last night, finishing my three bring home exams, studying for another exam, preparing for my report, and doing some assignments. Whew!!! That’s the prize of procrastination! LOL… I told ya, it’s hard to get rid of something that’s already in your system. But I’m trying hard to change it. LOL….

Anyway, I was still able to finish all the tasks needed to be done. And thanks God, my examination grades are okay as well as my report.

Now I can relax, sleep earlier, and recharge myself.

Online Shopping Center

 “I can’t get my eyes over you,…..
 Can’t stop my hands holding you…. …. Ooohhh…. ”

(tune of I Can’t Get My Eyes Over You)
And ...

(tune of Old Mc Donald)
And a click, click here
Click, Click there
Everywhere I click, click

Oh my!!!!!

Hey I’m singing. LOL

Well that’s what I exactly feel when I was doing window shopping online this morning. I can’t get my eyes looking at the items and I can’t stop holding my mouse and clicking its links going to my favorite items like arts and craft materials, accessories, home and garden, techy stuffs, collectibles and memorabilia, etc. They offered wide variety of items that is being categorized. It’s like a department store right on your screen. They just don’t sell; they also give information, tips and guides. Somewhat like a tutorial. Then perhaps I will visit this site often to get some tips on crafting.

Did I mention collectibles? Oh yes! I almost forgot what I wrote. LOL…. I’m so engrossed with the products. You know I collected stones before and I saw some awesome stones in this online shop. If I have plenty of money I’m pretty sure I can’t stop myself spending. LOL…..

But, hey! I’m a wise spender. I know with this online shop I’m buying items that is useful and what I do really love and will make me happy and others perhaps. And I bet two shopping carts are not enough. Hmmmm… How about A container van? LOL….

I received an email confirming that I am now a certified blogger for Blogvertise. Yepey!!! In less than 24 hours they approved my blog. That’s the fastest based on my experiences on other blog advertising networks.

Advertise On This Blog

Blogvertise is a blog advertising network. All you need to do is just keep on buzzing!!! You write a review for a certain products or services and they will pay you for your effort. Isn’t that great? But first you must have a 60 days old blog and have it register at Blogvertise. And it's absolutely free!!!!

My New Digi Cam

Finally, I got my new Sony DSC W230, a gift from my sister, Jeia

 Isn’t that sweet?

Supposed to be it’s her surprised gift to me, but she was unable to hold the secret when she read my post, Double D Must-Have for 2009. Double D stands for Digital Camera and Dental braces.

I can finally post quality pictures, especially on my blog Colour which is basically about arts and crafts and that includes photography.

Thanks a lot Jeia!!!!!

Bad Hair Day

I always had a bad hair day. It’s totally unmanageable – dry, fussy and flies away!!!! Sometimes I’m tempted to go to parlor and have it straightened. But I know it will only last for 6 months and will only destroy my hair. Besides fake straight hair looks stiff. What I want is something that is voluminous and every strands of my hair follows where I want them to place. LOL
Genetically, I’m really bound to have a hair like this. LOL… My father’s hair is curly while my mother’s is straight. I’m even luckier according to my sisters, because among 7 siblings I was the only one with a wavy hair (almost straight); blessed enough because all of them are curly and one of them has kinky curly hair. LOL... Well it doesn’t mean I don’t like curly hair. I love curly hair. I just hate my uncontrollable hair, and I feel very untidy with it.
I think I’m going to blame my older sisters. When I was young I have a very soft straight hair. But my sisters destroyed it. Grrrrr ……. LOL… They are fond with my hair and played with it, perhaps because I was an innocent youngest child in our family. They curled it using stalks of cassava leaves or broomstick. I tell you, it’s effective for curling hair and I honestly love it. LOL… And I really felt pretty with it. LOL….. But of course it is only good for one day. So to satisfy their pleasure they sent me to parlor and have it curled. Have you seen one of the characters in Peanuts (picture seen below)? That’s what my hair exactly look like; curled in the front/bangs area then the rest is straight or sometimes curly bangs and curly tips of my hair. Figured it out? Promise, as a na├»ve child, I love my hairdo. LOL…..

Now, whom should I blame with my almost every day bad-hair-day? Genetics or my sister’s fondness? LOL…..

P.S. I love my sisters…..

A Cure for PWP Disease

Napoleon Hill - "What ever the mind can conceive, and believe, the mind can achieve. "

I agree with the power of mind. And I think this is one remedy for my PWP ailment. (For those who haven’t read my post about the PWP disease, PWP is Pessimism, Worrying, and Procrastination.)

Now I’m converting this PWP into something positive.

Starting today, July 13, 2009, I will apply this mind exercise

THINK that

 I will THINK
PASTER (Faster…. Hehehe..)
I would like to thank those who have left words of encouragement. A bunch of thank you!!!

Web Directory

One way of selling your products is through advertising, it could be posters, streamers, through media, and the most popular especially when you are targeting consumers all over the world is through the world wide web. But having a quality website is not enough. You must build a website that is searchable and with a good traffic. One way of creating traffic and improving your link popularity is by submitting your website to web directories.
Web directory is a collection of website addresses. These websites have contents which are related to a particular thing. It specializes in linking to other web. The links are organized by topic and being categorized and subcategorized into a more defined subject. Therefore, web directory is like refining your searches.
Web directories often allow site owners to directly submit their site for inclusion, and have editors review submissions for fitness. Your listing consists in your website's title, URL and description. Submitting your site is easy, just browse until you found the best category for your website. It is usually maintained by expert and well trained human instead of software. And the approval is fast; usually it may take 24 hours or less.
Increasing your visitor through web directory is not costly as what you have thought. There are many free web directories listed in the World Wide Web. But some web directories require back linking or reciprocal linking from your site. This means a link back to the directory must be added somewhere on the submitted site in order to get listed in the directory. Or you can have the paid-submission-web-directory, a one-time or recurring fee is charged for reviewing/listing the submitted link.
Examples of well known, general, web directories are Yahoo! Directory and the Open Directory Project (ODP) also known as DMOZ (Directory Mozilla). ODP is significant due to its extensive categorization and large on the web and its free availability for use by other directories and search engines.

Fighting the So-called PWP

I’m sick. I don’t know when it started. It’s only  few months ago when I discovered that I have ailment. And it’s getting worse. But according to some experts I could still recover from it. It will take me a lot of medication that requires me a lot of cooperation.

I must admit. It’s hard to get rid from it, especially that it is already in my system. But I want changes in my life. And I, could only be the solution to this sickness.

It could be contagious. Especially when you are emotionally weak, so beware!

I was diagnosed with a disease called PWP. I know it’s unfamiliar to you. It’s what I called PESSIMISM, WORRYING, and PROCRASTINATION.

It’s like a domino effect.

I am very PESSIMISTIC person. I can easily see a dot on a clean white bond paper. Meaning in every situation I can easily think of negative consequences in my imagination, because I WORRY a lot. And because I’m worried and thinking negatively, then PROCRASTINATION comes in. I find it hard to decide for something because I considered a lot of things and I worried a lot.

Because of this, I missed a lot of opportunity. And I felt I am left behind.

But I’m willing to move on and open to changes. According to my councilor, my dear mother, it’s good that I recognized the problem. It’s actually the first step to my journey out from being captivated to this ailment.

I’m currently under medication. This blogging thing is a great help to me. I’m also reading self help books, but of course it’s up to me if I’ll follow the advices from the experts.

For your info: PWP a diseased diagnosed by the author herself. hehe..

A Reunion

It started at friendster.

A girl named Jocelyn asked me to add her up. She’s telling me that we have the same family name and assumes that we’re relatives. I don’t actually ignore and neglect those who are requesting to be my friend so I added her.

A week later, Jocelyn sends a friendster message to me. I did not read it right away. I thought it was just an ordinary message like “Thanks for adding me up” or just a “hi” and “hello” exchange.

It was just last Friday when I decided to open my account and look some new updates of my friends. Actually I already forgot about the message. Until I browse my inbox and finally decided to read it.
My father, at the right most.
This is probably the picture why Jocelyn concluded that we're relatives

I’m really surprised when Jocelyn introduces herself to me. She presumed that were relatives. She saw the picture of my father on my account and told me that my father looks like her uncle in Cebu. She told me in her message the name of her father and wanted to contact him. And Jocelyn is indeed my cousin – my long lost cousin.

Jocelyn parents were separated a long time ago. I do not know when? But according to my sister they were too young then, probably I was not yet born at that time.

But here’s what really touches me.

Last June 22 my uncle, Jocelyn’s father, was confined in ICU because of high blood. He confessed to my mother that he wanted to talk with his children. We do not know their address or their contact numbers.

But God is really good.

God answered my uncle’s prayer. He probably sends angels to work it out. Jocelyn’s message was very timely. So when my family learned about our communication my father immediately called her up and told my relatives about the good news. The whole family was exuberating with happiness.

I think Jocelyn had already forgiven my uncle. So last Saturday, July 4, Jocelyn called my uncle. That same day the whole family was busy exchanging calls and text messages about the good news.

I know my uncle was very happy….

God has really a perfect timing…. When wounds were already healed… then forgiveness will follow.
Just a piece of advice: Guys, don’t lock your friendster’s profile you’ll never know you’ll be an instrument to somebody’s life. Like me!

My Way of Saving Money.

Going Ethnic... my piggy bank ...It's not a pig!!! LOL... I don't know what to call this craft..

1. I follow a very simple formula: SALARY – SAVINGS = EXPENSES. My mother always stressed out that it’s important to save money.

2. My budget for expenses is separated. One envelope for my daily allowance, another envelope – budget for my necessities, for my schooling, for emergency, and of course one envelope for charity.

3. When buying things I always asked myself, “is this a need or a want?” But usually I end up buying nothing. You see, I’m a very frugal person. The things that I find hard to resist are art materials. LOL… But I considered it as my awards. Remember: we have to reward ourselves (LOL).

By the way I have a separate blog for my artworks. The picture above is actually one of my artworks…. Feel free to visit.

4. I buy groceries in bulk and items that are on sale or if there are promos.
5. I opt to hike rather than riding trsikad or tricycle.
6.  Extra coins in my pocket  will automatically go to my piggy  bank.
