Fruit Shakes

If I have to choose what drink will complement my meals, it would be fruit shakes. Aside from the fact that it’s nutritious it is also refreshing especially now that summer is heating up. Hmmm… I can’t help imagining myself under the heat of the sun along the beach with a fruit shake on my hand plus the protein bars. Mouthwatering!!! LOL....

Fruit shake is easy to do and there are wide varieties of fruits you can mix just to create a thirst quenching shakes. Even vegetables will do. Yes vegetables! Such as uncooked sayote (vegetable pear) plus milk and a little bit of sugar or honey… This is really awesome. Try it for yourself.

One of my favorite, which we always had in our meal, is the carrot-mango fruit shake. I really love it! But some of my nieces and nephews hate it because of the grated carrots. So they have to use strainer first in order to separate the grated carrots and the juice. They just don’t know that the juice is healthier with grated carrots in it. It cleanses the digestive system because of its fiber. But I have heard that too much intake of carrots will make your skin and eyes yellowy, I don’t now how valid it is. But from what I have learned too much of everything is not good. That’s why there should be a balance diet. Anyway there are many ways of creating fruit shakes. It’s just a sort of experimenting.

Here in Davao, as the Fruit Basket of the Philippines, we are so blessed to have bounty of tropical fruits which we can choose from to make really easy and refreshing fruit shakes.

Comment Deleted

I promise to my self to stop blogging for the meantime.... but I just can't help... LOL

peaking of comments and translation .... I received another comment which was in Chinese/Japanese character (I really don't know... lol)... Obviously I don't understand her comment. I clicked the link of She, the name of the commenter, but her site was blank, I thought she's a neophyte in the blogosphere, but when I visited the other links which was provided and lead to the site which is I think rated xxx.... with the text on the tab bar s__ plus the Chinese/Japanese character...... with a picture of a sexy girl..... Immediately I deleted her comment....

Need a Translator

Comments? I love comments.

It’s already part of my morning routine to check my e-mails both in my yahoomail and gmail accounts. I usually get email from Lina of jobstreet.com informing job openings, opportunities to do advertising, and seldomly – comments of my blogs from different bloggers. The latter will always made me feel excited. Because comments (except for spam comments) signify that my post has been read.

But I have received a couple of comment which I could not decipher 'coz it’s in Japanese or Chinese [?] language. I don’t know if it’s positive or negative comments. I need to look for online translation or a translators who can help me translate the words. For me to at least screen the comment and delete it if needed

Anyway, these comments are one of my inspirations why I keep on blogging. It spices my life….

Beer for PMS?

I haven’t sleep well for three straight nights because of the sharp, intermittent, cramping pain in my lower abdomen - a sort of pre menstrual syndrome.

Base on my sister’s experience, beer can help taper the bleeding. Although my case was just a PMS, I still requested my mom to buy a beer for me. The beer quenches my thirst that one glass of it seems not enough (but hey I’m not a drinker… LOL). So I end up drinking three glasses of beer.

But when I stand I felt like I was tipsy; I think I’m drunk! LOL…. What I want is just to lie down and sleep. But I tried hard to act normally. I don’t want them to notice the effect of liquor on me. My father would probably get angry. LOL… My mind set indeed helps me. I was even the last person who sleeps that evening.

But around 11:00 pm I was awaken with the familiar cramping in my lower abdomen. I think alcohol is not really that effective. To alleviate the pain I got a bottle of hot water and rolled in the part of my lower abdomen. It really eases the pain.
