Adventurous Sports that I’d Love to Try

A typical Filipino would really say they want to experience snow. That’s why most Filipinos abroad, during their first day of experience with snow, would really go out and feel the fluffy white snow that drops from the sky. Some will just feel it with their bare hands; other will really go out without dress at all. Like what my friend did…LOL

I remember my sister, when she had her first experience with snow, she immediately texted us, took pictures and during our chat using yahoo messenger she toured us outside their flat and shows the snow using the webcam.

Of course I envy her. I also dream to experience snow and do adventurous sports, like skiing, skateboarding, snowboarding, etc….

Hmmm… Can I really do it? Those are risky sports. Watching videos on snowboarding alone would make my palm sweats. But it looks easy and really cool. It’s like flying in the sky. I’m wondering how they did it. It seems to light for them to carry their weight considering that they wear other protective gears like Burton snowboard boots. But I guess these protective gears are lightweight. And I’m really amazed on the way they landed with their snowboards and the way they manage to land and balanced their body and gracefully gliding on the snow.

Well I can only answer my curiosity if I’ll try it myself. When I reach these foreign countries with snows I would really try this exciting activity and experience to glide on snow with Burton snowboards.

Rustic Furniture

coffee table Aside from the fine weather, great foods and beautiful sceneries in Tagaytay, I also miss the rustic furniture displays along the highway. Though similar in design but you can simply say each pieces have its own characteristic that can never be duplicated, because these furniture are made from trees having its own trait in terms of texture, color, rings and form that was naturally designed by mother nature and was creatively used the craftsmen, turning it into beautiful pieces.

Seeing those rustic furniture alone made me feel relax. Perhaps because of the material that was being used making you feel closer to nature. One of the pieces that I loved most and would like to purchase is the wagon wheel bench. My grandfather has this old wagon before. Even before he died I already ask my mom about it because I really love the old wagon, it was more than half a century old but everything is still intact. The woods that were used are really that sturdy. I have seen in many gardens displaying wagon, either transforming it into chair or displaying it in a garden together with flowery plants. But when my grandfather died it was sold to my cousin. I was too late to have it. But its okay with me at least the new owner of the old wagon is my cousin. I do hope she’ll pass it over to her children.

Dining Room

I love this dining room. Except that it’s too formal, I want it simpler. But it generally describe what my dining room would be if I’ll have my own house. A wide door opens onto the garden (I’m planning to have a manmade waterfall or fountain instead of a pool) provides an extension of my dining area especially when there is an occasion, often, we always had this family reunion. This is really ideal for our big family, 31 and counting more ;-).

Big and wide windows are also good. Since both windows and door are good source of fresh air. Plus overviewing of beautifully landscape garden would give us an exceptional ambience.

Double D Must-Have for 2009

My top 2 must-have/must-owned this year:

1. Dental brace – I’m desperate to have this installed on my teeth. But, last February 28, I’m disappointed when the orthodontist gave me a quotation of Php 50,000 – 100,000 charge for the dental brace. Of course in the mid of crisis, I don’t think it’s practical to spend that much especially that my salary is so meager. My solution: Consult other orthodontist, maybe they offer a lower price.

2. Digital Camera/ Video Camera – Since my sister went abroad, we don’t have a camera to capture momentss.
